Drinking water for community events

Drinking water for community events

Our Quench Benches and portable fountains are one of the simplest ways to offer drinking water at your community event, and they are free of charge!

The Quench Bench is mounted on a portable trailer that is fitted with troughs, taps and bubblers that connect to the mains water supply. It's available for metropolitan and regional outdoor community events expecting more than 1,000 attendees, assessed on a case-by-case basis.

For events of less than 1,000 attendees, we may be able to provide two portable fountains instead.

Your site requirements

To use our Quench Bench or portable fountains, your event site requires:

  • a flat site for its location – the Quench Bench is 5m (length) x 3m (height) x 2.5m (width); a portable fountain is 0.5m (length) x 1.3m (height) x 0.23m (width)
  • a drive-through site, as the trailer can't be reversed or moved by hand
  • access to an SA Water drinking water mains connection point within 5 metres
  • an event manager to help with directions, parking, and set up and pack down (preferably during business hours).

Use of these resources is dependant upon availability and an SA Water assessment of your site (this will occur about 7 days prior to your event).

How to book
